A Brand Born from Love
Girl from Borneo Island & Her Dogs
I’m a girl born and raised in the island of Borneo, and my love for dogs began at the tender age of four. It all started when my mum bought a small white puppy (we named her AhBui) from a morning market for RM30. Soon after, my mother began rescuing stray and injured dogs around our neighbourhood, and our home became a haven for up to 15 dogs.
As a child, instead of playing with toys, I found joy in caring for our dogs. I kept a little booklet, recording details like their teeth, eyes, fur, and nails health, and woke up each morning excited to check on them. These early days shaped me more than I could have imagined.
AhBui gave birth to a sweet yellow puppy whom I named TooToo. She was more than just a dog to me—she became my hero.
I remember vividly the day TooToo showed her bravery. It was one of the days in Chinese New Year when I heard her barking fiercely. Rushing outside, I saw TooToo in a deadly battle with a cobra. While the other dogs hid, TooToo bravely darted around the snake, barking and biting. My mum and I tried to help, but TooToo had already been bitten on the nose. Despite her best efforts, she succumbed to the venom after taking down the snake. My heart shattered as I watched her take her last breath.
TooToo’s sacrifice is something I will never forget. She gave her life to protect our home and our dogs. I have always regretted not being able to give her the very best when she was alive. But I can honor her memory by making sure every furbaby receives the care, love, and nutrition they deserve.
TooToo Tale is my tribute to her—a brand born from her BRAVERY and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.
I can’t go back and change the past, but through my work, I hope to provide the very best for your furbabies, just as I wish I could have done for TooToo.
